Geodome Stays: Sven, Ole, and Lena

Reconnect with nature at these unforgettable retreats. Our three domes are directly on the Pincushion Trail System (which links to the Superior Hiking Trail) where you will find endless hiking options steps from your front door. You are 5 minutes from downtown Grand Marais where you can eat at amazing restaurants, hear great live music, enjoy time by Lake Superior, and explore beautifully curated local shops.

A fun glamping experience, our domes offer a rustic stay with beautiful forest views outside your large window and a lovely private fire pit and eating space next to your dome. All three domes have the exact same amenities, their only differences being the color scheme of their decor. Our favorite touch in each dome is the sky chair which looks out onto the forest and valley below

Immersed in nature

The domes provide for your basic comforts, such as two twin beds with comfortable mattresses (which can be pushed together to make a king). You bring your own blankets/sleeping bags/sheets/towels.

There are a table and chairs in each dome, as well as a skychair overlooking the forest and valley below. We provide firewood and each dome has it’s own private outdoor eating area and fire pit.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

-Our domes are self-clean, which allows us to offer short stays and you get to skip paying an extra cleaning fee! The domes are professionally cleaned weekly, so we just ask that you wipe down the dome and clean the floor (if needed) so it’s ready for the next guest. Thank you for paying it forward!

-It can get cold at night anytime of the year in Grand Marais and our domes are not heated. You are responsible to bring your own blankets and linens so pack on the warmer side or with layers just to be prepared!

-We have yet to see a bear on our property and we’d like to keep it that way! We are so grateful for the caution of our guests to prevent attracting animals to the domes. Please store your food tightly sealed in your car (a short walk from your dome). We do have a cooler in the dome where you can store beverages.

-The clean and classy outhouse is a short walk from each dome and is shared among our dome guests.

-The domes have electricity, a water kettle, and mugs but no dishes or cooking supplies- bring your own camp stove or check out the great restaurants in town and plan for an elevated camping experience!
