In the spring, summer, and fall, hike right out the front door on 25km of the Pincushion trail system. These lead to the Superior Hiking trail which can take you all the way to Canada or Duluth! You can also drive to the Pincushion Trailhead (1/4 mile down the Gunflint Trail) and hop on the Superior Hiking Trail from the parking lot there. • Just behind the garage you’ll find a trail leading down to Devil’s Track River. You’ll find a short but lovely hike along the river, with benches placed to rest and enjoy the views. These trails are groomed for cross country skiing in the winter with a broad range of skill level from beginner to advanced.
